“The first time I tasted Robert’s pie I was furious that it had taken me so long to taste something so delicious. I’ve always love traditional pork pies but Roberts takes them to a whole new level. They are spanking fresh, beautifully hand made with the very best Scottish artisan ingredients and the little pure Italian lardo goes straight to me love of heritage ingredients. They’ve been on the menu at The Scottish Cafe from the week after we tasted the first bit. Love at first bite indeed!”

It is very rare to find a pie maker of Robert Corrigan’s ability, quality and commitment. His pies are of unquestionable authenticity with perfectly seasoned fillings, encased inside a traditional hot water crust pastry and all evenly baked. The first thing I look for in a pie is the quality of jelly both in terms of fill and texture. Robert uses genuine pigs’ trotter stock to give his pies a melt in the mouth moistness.
